"Why is my electricity bill so high?"

1. If your fixed price plan has ended. 

When you enter a fixed price plan it protects you from any price increases for the time of your contract. When this comes to an end you will automatically be enrolled on new rates, which are usually a lot more expensive. As this means you are out of contract, you will now be free to switch to another supplier or enter a new fixed plan with the current supplier. 

2. Your meter readings are being estimated. 

Your should check that your bill is based on actual readings of your electricity meter rather than estimated ones.
