When this comes to an end you will automatically be enrolled on to deemed tarriff rates, which are usually a lot more expensive - sometimes up to 40%.

It's important to take your own readings so that you get charged accurately, the new smart meters can also prevent this happening. A smart meter will read your meter readings correctly down to the penny, there will be no need for you to do anything.
